Heage Garden Party for Charity Marks Mother's 100th Birthday

For the past 39 years, Heage resident Jean Fardoe has organised an annual garden party in aid of Action Research, raising significant and much-needed funds for the charity. Jean's dedication and continued commitment to supporting this important cause has become a much-valued tradition within the local community.

This year's event, taking place on Sunday, will be particularly special, as Jean's mother will be celebrating her 100th birthday and will attend as the Guest of Honour. To commemorate this remarkable milestone, she will officially open the fête by cutting the ribbon at the start of the event. The garden party will take place at 57 Ripley Road in Heage, on Sunday, May 31 at 12.30pm.

Jean's tireless efforts over nearly four decades have made a lasting impact, and this year's celebration promises to be a memorable occasion for all who attend. The community is invited to join in honouring both the charity's vital work and the centenarian's special day.
