Stafford Community Group Launches Annual Easter Egg Appeal

Hearts & Hands CIC, a community organization based in Stafford, has officially launched its annual Easter Egg Appeal. The initiative calls upon local residents, businesses, and community groups to contribute Easter eggs, aiming to bring additional seasonal cheer to households across Stafford and surrounding villages during the Easter period.

Supporting Working Families and Retirees

The organization, operating from Jupiter House on the Astonfields Industrial Estate, specializes in providing free food hampers to working individuals and retirees who are facing financial difficulties. In the lead-up to Easter, the team is focused on collecting as many Easter eggs as possible. These treats will be added to the food hampers, allowing families to enjoy a festive seasonal item alongside their essential supplies.

Lorraine Conkey, director of Hearts & Hands CIC, emphasized the significance of the appeal. "The Easter Egg Appeal has become a vital component of our annual support efforts," Conkey stated. "Many of the people we assist are employed but are still grappling with extreme challenges due to escalating household expenses. While a simple Easter egg may appear minor, it ensures that children in these homes do not feel excluded while others are celebrating."
