Persimmon Homes Midlands Raises £55,314 for Coppafeel! in 2025
Housebuilder raises £55k for breast cancer charity

Staff at a major regional housebuilder have concluded a monumental year of fundraising, generating an impressive £55,314 for a vital breast cancer awareness charity. The team at Persimmon Homes Midlands dedicated their efforts throughout 2025 to support CoppaFeel!, an organisation focused on educating young adults about the signs of breast cancer.

Inspired by a Colleague's Courage

The charity was chosen by the Northampton-based office after they rallied behind a colleague undergoing treatment. Charlotte Chapman, a 29-year-old assistant accountant at Persimmon, was diagnosed with Grade 3 triple negative breast cancer in 2024. Her treatment has involved chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, and further chemo throughout the year.

Zac Hurst, Regional Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands, praised Charlotte's resilience. "Since her diagnosis, Charlotte has remained positive even in the darkest of times and is such an inspiration to us all," he said. "She’s very passionate about spreading awareness to all genders and in particular young people, to ensure they know the importance of checking themselves regularly."

A Year of Diverse Fundraising Events

The staggering total was amassed through a wide variety of activities organised by colleagues. The team's commitment was demonstrated through events including:

  • Bake sales and dress-down Fridays.
  • A challenging Wolf Run obstacle course.
  • An enormously successful charity Golf Day.

Charlotte expressed her gratitude, stating: "I have been amazed by my colleagues’ support and really grateful for their efforts to raise funds for CoppaFeel! who do amazing work."

Charity's Gratitude and Impact of the Funds

Simon Hetherington Rea from CoppaFeel! highlighted the significance of the donation. "£55,314 is a phenomenal total and will be hugely impactful in helping us to spread our chest-checking message across the UK!" he said. The funds will directly support the charity's mission to ensure all young people are equipped with the knowledge to check themselves, promoting early diagnosis which leads to more effective treatment and higher survival rates.

Persimmon also runs a Community Champions initiative, which donates up to £6,000 every quarter to local groups and charities in the region, further extending the company's support for community causes.
