Frimley Health Charity has raised more than £53,000 following a record-breaking turnout at this year's Run Frimley 2026. The annual fundraiser took place on Sunday, May 3, with 1,270 runners participating across 10k, 5k, and a one-mile family colour fun run based at The SCJ Event Village in Frimley Green.
Surpassing Fundraising Goals
The event exceeded its £50,000 fundraising target, with money still being counted, and will support projects and services for patients and families across Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. Families enjoyed the colour fun run, where participants were doused in coloured powder, while longer routes featured live music, cheer stations, and community support from local groups, choirs, and volunteers.
Record Turnout and Community Spirit
Organisers described a record turnout across all distances, with runners collectively covering a distance equivalent to running from London to Sri Lanka. The event was supported by sponsors including SC Johnson, Shaw Gibbs, Ideal Scaffolding, and Miller Homes, which helped fund event infrastructure and the race village.
Katrina Crawford, sales and marketing director of Miller Homes Southern, said: "Run Frimley was a fantastic, community-led event, which saw over 1,200 people take part and help raise vital funds for charity. Miller Homes were very proud to be one of the event's sponsors and we were so pleased to see so many smiling faces running through Frimley in and around our new homes at Frimley Square."
