Seven Friends to Walk Hadrian's Wall for Children's Hospice
Seven Friends Walk Hadrian's Wall for Hospice

Seven friends are taking on the length of Hadrian's Wall this summer to raise funds for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children's hospices.

The Magnificent Seven

Gary Hughes, Shane Hughes, Mark McLinden, Marc Williams, Trevor Thomas and Roy Chape with logistical support from Danny Thomas will be walking the famous coast to coast trek over four days from August 10 to 13. Calling themselves The Magnificent Seven, they will be walking approximately 84 miles from Wallsend to Bowness crossing some iconic and challenging spots – all for local children and families living with a life-threatening condition.

Speaking for the group, Gary Hughes of Old Colwyn shared: "The boys and I are really pleased to be supporting Tŷ Gobaith again with another epic walk. It's going to be a testing one, especially in the middle of the country, but we'll be thinking of all the children and families who will benefit from support by the hospices. We're very grateful to all our kind sponsors so far, but there's still time to help. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Red Lion on the 14th to celebrate."

Hospice Support

Hospice fundraiser Nikki Sullivan said: "We are delighted to welcome Gary and his friends back after 2024's epic Cardiff to Conwy hike. They are showing how much they care for local families with this challenge, which I'm sure will be very well supported again. You've got this, guys. Hoping you get great weather and meet lots of generous people en route."

You can support the guys with sponsorship at the JustGiving page for team Magnificent Seven.
