St Clare Hospice’s Colour Run is making a vibrant return to Harlow this June, offering a joyful 5-kilometre event suitable for all ages while raising crucial funds for local hospice care. The lively occasion is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Harlow Rugby Club, beginning at 10am. Runners and walkers alike will navigate through colourful stations along the route, emerging at the finish line coated in a rainbow of powder.
Personal Story of Support
Among the participants is Jackie Davis, aged 62, from North Weald. She is taking part in memory of her father, Terry, who received care from St Clare Hospice. Jackie shared her heartfelt experience: “In 2016, after a hospital stay, my dad Terry was moved to St Clare, where he passed away. The support offered not only to Dad but to our entire family was something I never realized I needed so much.”
She continued: “The kind, gentle, and supportive care we received made a dreadful experience bearable. When I look back, I can smile knowing Dad spent his final moments in such a special, calm environment. St Clare does everything it can to support patients and families with dignity, and I will always be grateful. We are incredibly fortunate to have it locally, and it is so important we help protect it so others can benefit from the same care.”
Looking forward to the event, Jackie added: “I’m excited to get covered in colour and enjoy the atmosphere!”
