St Clare Hospice is inviting supporters to remember a loved one this summer with a handcrafted Forever Flower - a lasting tribute celebrating love, memory and special moments.
Handcrafted Forget-Me-Nots for Indoor or Outdoor Display
The bespoke ironwork forget-me-not flowers are designed for indoor or outdoor display, with a suggested donation of £28 per flower helping to fund specialist hospice care. This year’s collection includes a special yellow edition, with a new colour introduced annually to build a meaningful series over time.
Individual Giving Fundraiser Hayley Tamplin said: “At the end of someone’s life, love often shows itself in the smallest ways - the quiet moments, the kindness and the details that stay with you forever. Our Forever Flowers are a meaningful way to honour someone’s memory.”
Personal Tributes at Home or in the Hospice Gardens
Each flower can be placed in a personal setting at home, in a garden, or within the hospice grounds as part of a shared space of remembrance. Every dedication supports St Clare Hospice’s care for people approaching the end of life, as well as bereavement support for families.
The initiative also carries deeply personal meaning for families like Jen’s, whose mum Wyn was cared for at the hospice. She described an atmosphere filled with calm and dignity, recalling how the team arranged a special visit from a horse named Pebbles after learning of Wyn’s love of horses.
“As Pebbles gently lowered his head towards her, something changed. In that moment, she wasn’t a patient nearing the end of her life - she was a little girl again,” Jen said. “It gave us something joyful and full of meaning. That’s what hospice care does - it creates moments that stay with you forever.”
Special Picnic Event on June 14
Forever Flowers will be available for collection at a special hospice picnic on Sunday, June 14, where hundreds of tributes will come together in a shared celebration of remembrance. The event is open to all and offers a space to reflect, remember and celebrate loved ones while supporting hospice care.
Donations and dedications can be made via stclarehospice.org.uk/foreverflowers or by contacting the hospice team directly.
Location: Harlow, Epping Forest, Uttlesford, Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth.
