A dedicated team from Taylor Wimpey Midlands has successfully raised more than £3,400 for charity after completing a major outdoor fundraiser. The team joined hundreds of colleagues to complete a challenging walk along the scenic North Devon coastline on May 16.
This annual event has now raised a staggering £1.6 million over the last 12 years to help transform lives. The vital funds raised by the local team will be split between two very special causes. Part of the money will go to the Youth Adventure Trust, which helps vulnerable young people build confidence through outdoor activities. The remaining funds will support Our Jay Charity, which works tirelessly to provide life-saving public defibrillators across our communities.
Daniel Rushe, land manager at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “The Taylor Wimpey Challenge is always a fantastic event. Not only does it bring together employees from across the business, but more importantly, it raises a huge amount of money for extremely worthy charities. This year has been no different and I’m extremely proud of our teams for their effort in raising much needed donations for the YAT and Our Jay.”
The charities involved have expressed their deep gratitude for the incredible effort and generosity of everyone who took part. Mark Davey, CEO at the Youth Adventure Trust, said: “It has been another fantastic year for the Taylor Wimpey Challenge, with all of the participants embracing the activities with camaraderie and a great sense of humour. As always, we’re very appreciative of their efforts in support of our mission to help young people fulfil their potential and lead positive lives. Funding from this year’s event will make a huge difference to us and we look forward to continuing our partnership into 2027.”
