Official Safety Guidelines for Consumers

The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued detailed instructions for individuals who may have purchased these toys. If the sand component is still in its original packaging, authorities recommend placing it in a heavy-duty plastic bag, securing it with double tape, clearly labeling it, and storing it in a secure location away from children.

For sand that has already been used, cleanup should be conducted using wet cloths to minimize dust generation. During this process, individuals should wear protective gloves and a mask as precautionary measures. All contaminated materials, including the sand, gloves, mask, and cloths, should be double-bagged before disposal.

"Keep children and other people away from areas where the sand has been used until the area has been thoroughly cleaned," emphasized safety officials. Consumers are advised to return the products to their place of purchase for appropriate redress. If returning to the store is not feasible, following the disposal instructions and placing the product in general household waste is recommended.
