A nine-year-old boy from Birmingham who captured hearts online after a video showed him training with his grandmother, a police officer, by lobbing pinecones has been officially made an honorary police cadet.

The video, which garnered millions of views on social media, showed the boy practicing defensive techniques and throwing pinecones at his grandmother, who is a serving police officer with West Midlands Police. The training session was filmed by the boy's mother and posted online, quickly gaining widespread attention for its heartwarming and humorous nature.
Following the viral success, West Midlands Police decided to recognize the boy's enthusiasm by making him an honorary cadet. The force invited him to their headquarters, where he was given a tour, met officers, and received a special cadet uniform and badge.
