Appeal launched after teenager robbed of bike on train

British Transport Police have launched an appeal for information after a 16-year-old boy was robbed of his bicycle by two men on a West Midlands Railway service between Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

Details of the incident

The robbery occurred on a train travelling from Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton at around 5.30pm on Monday, 13 February. The victim, a teenager, was approached by two men who demanded his bike. When he refused, they allegedly threatened him and took the bicycle before leaving the train at an unknown station.

The bike is described as a black Carrera Vengeance mountain bike, worth several hundred pounds. The victim was not physically injured but was left shaken by the incident, according to police.

Suspect descriptions

British Transport Police have released descriptions of the two suspects. The first man is described as white, aged in his 20s, around 5ft 10in tall, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. The second man is described as white, also aged in his 20s, around 5ft 8in tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the suspects or the stolen bike to come forward.
