Police Seek Man After Assault at Birmingham Concert

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal to identify a man in connection with an assault that took place at a concert in Birmingham. The incident occurred during a live performance at the city's O2 Academy, prompting officers to release a CCTV image of a suspect they wish to speak with.

Details of the Assault

The assault happened on the evening of Saturday, 12 November, at the O2 Academy on Bristol Street. A man was attacked during the concert, sustaining injuries that required medical treatment. Police have not disclosed the nature of the injuries but confirmed they were not life-threatening.

Officers believe the suspect, captured on CCTV, may have vital information about the incident. He is described as a white man in his 20s, with short brown hair, and was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans at the time.

Police Appeal

Detective Constable Sarah Johnson, from West Midlands Police, said: "We are urging anyone who recognises the man in the image or who has any information about the assault to come forward. This was a distressing incident for the victim and those who witnessed it."

Police are also keen to speak with anyone who was at the concert and may have seen the assault or the suspect before or after the event.
