Pregnant Woman Hit by Car in Birmingham CCTV

CCTV footage has captured the moment a pregnant woman was hit by a car in Birmingham city centre. The incident occurred on Thursday, 23 March, at approximately 2.30pm on Corporation Street, near the junction with Bull Street.

Details of the incident

The woman, who is in her 30s and eight months pregnant, was crossing the road when she was struck by a grey Ford Fiesta. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries, and her unborn baby was also checked and found to be unharmed.

Police investigation

West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the force's traffic unit, said: 'This was a frightening experience for the woman, and we are grateful that she and her baby were not more seriously injured. We are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage that could help our investigation.'
