Six people are due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today, Friday, November 28, after being charged in connection with a major County Lines drug investigation.
Joint Police Operation Leads to Multiple Arrests
The arrests were the result of a coordinated operation between West Midlands Police and Northamptonshire Police. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed that the six individuals were charged as part of an ongoing effort by their dedicated County Lines Taskforce.
During the bust, officers seized a large amount of cash and suspected Class A drugs. In addition to the six people charged, two further individuals were arrested and have been released on bail while police enquiries continue.
Charges and Court Appearance
The group, all aged between 18 and 23, have been charged with serious drug offences. They are: Luke Adams, Wiktoria Gajda, Liam Hickman, Connor Reed, Kyle Sherbourne, and Ben Simpson.
Each faces charges of supplying Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class A. The accused are from various locations across Sandwell, Walsall, and Corby. All six have been remanded in custody and are scheduled for their hearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today.
This case highlights the continued police focus on dismantling County Lines networks, which are known for exploiting young people and spreading illegal drugs across different regions of the UK.
