Solihull Hit-and-Run: Police Appeal After Audi on Wrong Side

West Midlands Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision in Solihull after a white Audi A3 was reportedly driven recklessly on the wrong side of the road. The incident occurred on Warwick Road at approximately 9:40 am on 9 June 2026.

Incident Details

Witnesses reported that the Audi A3 was being driven in a dangerous and reckless manner, repeatedly hitting the central reservation before being driven off. The car then continued towards Buryfield Road and onto Lode Lane, eventually coming to a stop in Moat Lane at around 10:00 am.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police Appeal

Police have issued a fresh appeal for anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident to come forward. In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "We are appealing for footage as we investigate a hit-and-run collision in Solihull. We received reports of a White Audi A3 being driven in a dangerous and reckless manner on Warwick Road at around 9.40am on 9 June. Witnesses reported the car was being driven on the wrong side of the road and hit a central reservation, multiple times, before being driven off."
