Solihull police have taken decisive action against a prolific offender, banning him from five distinct areas following persistent anti-social behaviour. Lee Giles, aged 47, is now prohibited from entering Chelmsley Wood, Fordbridge, Kingshurst, Castle Bromwich, and Smithswood.
Community Protection Notice Issued
West Midlands Police confirmed that a Community Protection Notice (CPN) was served against Giles by Solihull North neighbourhood officers. The notice not only restricts his movement across these five localities but also bars him from entering any Solihull Community Housing tower block within the affected region. Furthermore, Giles is forbidden from causing distress or fear to residents of those blocks.
In a statement, police emphasized the importance of such measures: "Officers in Solihull have taken steps to protect vulnerable people with a new Community Protection Notice served against a prolific offender." The CPN aims to curb repeated anti-social behaviour that has plagued these communities.
Legal Consequences
Breaching the CPN can lead to arrest and further prosecution. Police reiterated that their teams across Solihull collaborate with partners to address persistent anti-social behaviour and crime. They urged the public to report such activities whenever and wherever they occur, enabling authorities to identify offenders and safeguard the community.
This action underscores the commitment of local law enforcement to maintain public order and protect residents from ongoing disturbances.
