A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Wolverhampton that left a 45-year-old man injured. The incident occurred on Bath Road in the Whitmore Reans area at approximately 6:30 PM on Wednesday, May 20.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to West Midlands Police (WMP). Officers cordoned off nearby Southgate Road yesterday evening, with police tape stretching across the road and a patrol car with flashing blue lights parked at the entrance.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, while a 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill. A WMP spokesperson stated: “We have arrested two people after a man was stabbed in Wolverhampton. We were called to reports of a man being stabbed on Bath Road at around 6:30 PM yesterday. Officers attended and carried out fast-track enquiries, including searching the surrounding areas. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill. A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries which are thankfully not believed to be life-threatening.”
