Teen Cyclist Struck by Car at Birmingham Business Park

A 15-year-old cyclist was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car outside a Birmingham business park on Thursday afternoon.

Incident Details

The collision occurred at the junction of Hamstead Hill and Austin Way in Great Barr at around 2pm on June 25. The scene is outside Screwfix and Greggs at Prime Park Business Park, near Old Walsall Road.

West Midlands Police confirmed that the driver of the car remained at the scene and has been spoken to by officers. The teenager's injuries were being assessed by doctors on Thursday evening.

Police Appeal

A force spokesperson said: "We were called to the junction of Hamstead Hill and Austin Way just before 2pm following a collision involving a cyclist aged 15 and a car. The cyclist was taken to hospital where his injuries are being assessed. The driver remained at the scene and has been spoken to by officers."

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police, quoting log 3261 of June 25.

Ongoing Investigation

Police cordoned off the road outside Prime Park Business Park following the incident. BirminghamLive has contacted West Midlands Ambulance Service for comment.
