Two Men Face Attempted Murder Charges Following Solihull Tower Block Incident

Early Morning Attack Leaves Victim with Serious Head Injuries
The incident unfolded shortly before 5am on Tuesday, April 7, near Linacre House on Heathmere Drive in the Fordbridge area of Solihull. Emergency services were called to the scene at 4.44am after reports of a seriously injured man.
West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance along with a MERIT (Medical Emergency Response Intervention Team) trauma doctor and a critical care paramedic to the location. Upon arrival, medical crews discovered a man in his 20s who had sustained what they described as "potentially life-changing injuries," including a serious head wound.
The victim received immediate treatment at the scene before being transported to hospital, where he remains in serious condition according to police statements.

West Midlands Police launched an investigation into the incident, which resulted in the arrest of two local men. The suspects, identified as Ben Edwards, aged 26, and Dean Edwards, aged 30, both residents of Heathmere Drive in Solihull, have now been formally charged with attempted murder.
