Two people suffered serious injuries following a horrific collision involving a BMW on Wake Green Road in Moseley, Birmingham, on Thursday evening.

Details of the Collision

Emergency services were called at 6.55pm on Thursday, June 25, after a BMW collided with another vehicle and subsequently hit a tree. The incident occurred on Wake Green Road, a residential street in the Moseley area.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) dispatched two ambulances and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic to the scene. A man and a woman were treated at the scene for serious injuries before being transported under emergency conditions to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Response and Aftermath

Images posted to social media showed passers-by helping the victims of the collision. The road was cordoned off for several hours while emergency crews worked and the scene was cleared.

West Midlands Police confirmed they are aware of the incident and will be providing a statement.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Wake Green Road in Birmingham at 6.55pm and sent two ambulances and a MERIT trauma doctor with critical care paramedic to the scene. On arrival, crews found a car had been involved in a collision with a tree and another car. A man and a woman were treated by ambulance staff for serious injuries before being conveyed under emergency conditions to Queen Elizabeth Hospital."

The cause of the collision is under investigation by West Midlands Police.
