Three individuals accused of fly-tipping in Birmingham now face arrest after failing to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court. Warrants were issued for their apprehension on Thursday, August 13, following their non-attendance in cases brought by Birmingham City Council.
Details of the Cases
Prosecutors, acting on behalf of Birmingham City Council, requested warrants against the three defendants, which the bench granted. All cases relate to alleged breaches of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Rabih Ali Mohaldi, aged 50, of Hamstead Road, Birmingham, faced five charges. These included dumping large amounts of carpet offcuts, underlay, and a used washing machine from a van onto land on Crick Lane without an environmental permit. He also faced a charge of failing to comply with a notice requesting information. The offences allegedly occurred between September 24, 2025, and November 10, 2025.
Separate Cases and Additional Charges
In a separate case, 48-year-old Alex Kabuambay Mbumba, of Hawcroft Grove, Birmingham, was due to face two charges. Both relate to dumping a large amount of waste from a van onto land in Yardley Green Road, Birmingham, without an environmental permit on July 7, 2025.
A third case involved Marwa Saeed, aged 28, of Upper Highgate Street, Birmingham, who faced three charges. Saeed is accused of dumping carrier bags of waste and canisters on land in Arter Street, Birmingham, without an environmental permit on June 16, 2025. He also allegedly failed to comply with a written notice from Birmingham City Council requesting information about the driver and passengers of a car involved in the offence.
Legal Outcome and Next Steps
The warrants were issued for the arrest of all three accused and for them to be brought before the court at a later date. The cases highlight ongoing efforts by Birmingham City Council to tackle illegal waste dumping in the city.
