A 20-year-old Birmingham man has been charged in connection with a series of vehicle thefts and burglaries in Worcestershire. James Boswell, of Yardley Road, Yardley, faces two charges: conspiracy to commit a burglary dwelling with intent to steal and conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle. The charges relate to 14 separate incidents that occurred across Worcestershire between 10 February and 26 July last year.
Details of the Charges
West Mercia Police confirmed that Boswell is accused of being involved in a conspiracy to break into homes with the intention of stealing property, as well as conspiring to steal vehicles. The offences took place over a five-month period, and police inquiries remain ongoing.
Court Appearance Scheduled
Boswell is due to appear before Worcester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 2 June. In a statement, West Mercia Police said: "A Birmingham man has been charged in relation to a number of burglary and theft of motor vehicle offences and will be appearing in court next month."
Police Investigation Continues
Authorities have not ruled out further arrests as part of the investigation. The charges come after a detailed police operation targeting vehicle thefts and burglaries in the region. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.
