Man Charged with Drug Offences After Birmingham Warrant

A man is due to appear in court today charged with multiple drug dealing offences in the West Midlands. The arrest was made after West Midlands Police officers from the County Lines Taskforce carried out a warrant at an address in Ridley Street, Birmingham, on Monday, April 27.

Operation into ‘Max’ Drug Line

The warrant was carried out as part of an enforcement action into the ‘Max’ drug lines, which supplied Class A drugs from Birmingham into Worcester. A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug dealing offences, and following searches, a large quantity of Class A drugs was recovered. Mixing agents were also found, as well as drug supply paraphernalia, and approximately £20,000 in counterfeit notes.

Charges and Court Appearance

Raheem Ali was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis. He was also charged with having counterfeit banknotes. The 28-year-old was remanded into custody and is set to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (April 29).
