Tech boss Neil Muller was discovered with a single stab wound to the chest in a downstairs bathroom of a Warwickshire mansion, an inquest has revealed. The 54-year-old chief executive of Derby-based IT firm Node4 was pronounced dead at the scene on June 7.
Inquest Details
A four-minute hearing at Coventry Coroner's Court on Friday, July 10, heard that Muller suffered a cardiac arrest and was declared dead at 6.37am. Coroner Sean McGovern stated that police were called to the Langley Road property in Claverdon, near Henley-in-Arden, at 6.15am by paramedics who found Muller in a downstairs bathroom off the kitchen.
The court heard that Muller had a single stab wound to the chest and a superficial cut to the wrist. A weapon was recovered from the sink nearby. A post-mortem examination indicated a provisional cause of death as stab wound to the chest, subject to further examination.
Arrest and Investigation
Warwickshire Police arrested a 55-year-old woman from Birmingham on suspicion of murder less than an hour after Muller was pronounced dead. She has since been released on bail. The coroner adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed for police to provide evidence and for the pathologist to submit a final report.
