Kelly Osbourne has bravely shared her hopes to navigate the upcoming Christmas celebrations without breaking down, as she faces her first festive season without her legendary father, Ozzy Osbourne.
A Family Gathering in Buckinghamshire
The 41-year-old television personality will mark the occasion at her mother Sharon Osbourne's home in Buckinghamshire. This is the same residence where she lived with her father, the iconic Black Sabbath frontman, who passed away in July at the age of 76.
Kelly will be joined by her partner, Slipknot's DJ Sid Wilson, and their three-year-old son, Sidney, for what she describes as a "proper English Christmas." She expressed her fondness for the tradition, humorously noting, "They don't even have crackers in LA."
Honouring Traditions Amid Grief
In an effort to maintain a sense of normalcy and family unity, Kelly has organised matching pyjamas for all 14 guests expected on the day. The plan is to spend time together sitting in front of the television, embracing the simple comforts of the season.
Her primary wish for the emotionally charged day is straightforward yet profound: "I just want to get through Christmas without crying." Her brother, Jack Osbourne, 40, will remain in Los Angeles with his pregnant wife, Aree Gearhart, and their children but will join the family gathering via FaceTime.
Future Plans Rooted in Family
Looking beyond the holidays, Kelly has decided to make England her permanent home. She revealed she cannot bear to leave her father, who is buried under an apple tree on the Buckinghamshire property.
"The plan is to stay in England now. I wouldn't leave my dad," she stated, adding that she is taking life "just one day at a time." As part of building a new future, she is actively setting up barns with the intention of starting a farm on the estate.
She also plans to spoil her mother, Sharon, with gifts, which include the heartwarming addition of a new puppy. Reflecting on the immense loss, Kelly shared a poignant insight into her grief: "It's the hardest thing you'll ever go through in your life. I'll never ever be the girl I was before."
