Ant McPartlin has marked a major milestone in his marriage by sharing a previously unseen photograph from his wedding day with wife Anne-Marie, accompanied by a heartfelt message celebrating five years together.
The television presenter, 50, took to Instagram on Friday to commemorate the couple's anniversary, posting a black-and-white image captured during their wedding celebrations at Heckfield Place in Hampshire in August 2021. The candid snap showed the groom smiling in a classic tuxedo while Anne-Marie beamed behind him in her bespoke Suzanne Neville wedding gown.
A Heartfelt Tribute on Instagram
Alongside the image, Ant kept his message simple but heartfelt, writing: "Happy 5th wedding anniversary @mrsanthonymcpartlin. I'd do it all again tomorrow." The post quickly garnered attention from fans and followers, who flooded the comments with congratulatory messages.
The anniversary marks another chapter in the couple's life together since they tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony that reportedly cost around £500,000, with Ant's longtime presenting partner Declan Donnelly serving as best man.
Family Life and Fatherhood
Since exchanging vows, Ant and Anne-Marie have welcomed their son, Wilder, who is now two. Ant is also stepfather to Anne-Marie's daughters, Poppy and Daisy, from her previous marriage to Scott Corbett. The celebration comes several years after Ant's divorce from make-up artist Lisa Armstrong. The pair were together for more than 20 years and married for 11 before finalising their divorce in 2020.
Ant later married Anne-Marie, who had previously worked as his personal assistant, after both had become single. The anniversary comes just weeks after Ant and longtime presenting partner Dec opened up about fatherhood, admitting they both wish they had started their families sooner.
Reflections on Parenthood
During an episode of their Hanging Out With Ant & Dec podcast, Dec, who shares daughter Isla, seven, and son Jack, three, with wife Ali Astall, described becoming a parent as "the best thing ever." "I wish I'd done it earlier and I wish I'd had ten," he joked, before adding: "Maybe not ten. Maybe three."
Ant, who welcomed son Wilder with Anne-Marie in May 2024 and is also stepfather to her teenage daughters, agreed, saying: "I've got three and I'd have more." Reflecting on his own experience, Ant called fatherhood "the absolute best" and said becoming a stepfather before welcoming Wilder gave him "the best of both worlds."
"It changes you for the better," he said. "All of the sleepless nights, the early mornings, the tiredness is worth it. It's the greatest thing I think you can do. It far surpasses anything that we've achieved in our career." Dec echoed the sentiment, describing parenthood as "our biggest achievement" and adding: "When they first come along, you don't realise how much they change your life, but for the better."
A New Chapter of Happiness
Today, Ant says life looks very different. He has previously described Anne-Marie as his "rock and lifesaver", crediting her support during his recovery from alcohol and prescription painkiller addiction. The presenter has said he is now the "happiest he's ever been", with family life centred around their son Wilder, Anne-Marie's daughters, dog walks, sporting events and holidays together.
