MAFS Australia's Scott has expressed his heartbreak after witnessing footage of his wife Gia flirting with her alternate match, James, during the experiment's Final Task. The scene, which aired on live television in Australia, showed Gia eagerly engaging with James and even suggesting she would be single soon.
Scott's Reaction to Gia's Date
Speaking on Today Extra, Scott revealed his shock and disappointment. "It felt like a slap in the face because I thought we had mutual feelings. I'm quite speechless at the moment to be honest it's a bit heartbreaking," he said. Scott explained that he chose not to participate in the task, stating that he sees a future with Gia and does not want to explore other options. "When I'm into someone and I see a future with them, I don't let anyone else have an opportunity because there's no need for it," he added.
Gia's Behavior During the Final Task
This year, the cast was not given the option to opt out of meeting their alternative match. While Scott immediately left the situation, Gia appeared more than willing to entertain James. She expressed interest in getting his phone number and, when he said he would wait for her, she replied that she would be "done with the experiment in a week." Scott was later shown the footage and admitted that there is "a lot more hurt coming" his way.
Upcoming Episode Promises More Drama
Scott hinted at the upcoming episode, saying, "We sit down and explain everything that happened. I told her and then she told me everything that happened. But I felt like she'd done the right thing at that point in time, until I saw what really happened." The episode will feature Scott watching Gia's date and confronting her about her actions.
