In a move that merges pop culture with postal history, Royal Mail has announced a dramatic new look for its first class stamps. The postal service is releasing a special collection dedicated to the globally acclaimed Netflix series, Stranger Things, which concluded on New Year's Day.
A Striking Tribute from the Upside Down
The 14 unique stamp designs are the work of acclaimed British artist Kyle Lambert, the creative mind behind the iconic promotional posters for every season of the show. The collection aims to capture the essence of the series that captivated audiences for nearly a decade.
David Gold, Royal Mail's Director of External Affairs and Policy, expressed the company's enthusiasm for the project. He stated that the postal service is thrilled to celebrate Stranger Things with this striking collection. Gold emphasised that each design encapsulates the spirit of the series, from its beloved characters to the distinctive eerie visuals that defined its appeal, creating a fitting tribute to one of television's most popular modern phenomena.
How and When to Get the Collection
The stamps and a range of associated collectible products became available for pre-order from Tuesday, 6 January 2026. Fans can secure their sets via the Royal Mail shop online or by telephoning 03457 641 641.
The stamps will go on general sale from 13 January 2026. For collectors, a presentation pack containing all 14 stamps in the series is priced at £24.70.
Fan Reaction to the Series Finale
The stamp launch follows the emotional conclusion of the Stranger Things saga. Speaking to the BBC as the series ended, fans shared their heartfelt responses to the finale. Liv and Alina Valdez, who attended a cinema screening dressed as fan-favourite characters Steve Harrington and Dustin Henderson, reflected on the journey.
"It's been basically 10 years," Liv told the BBC. "The Duffer Brothers did a good job of giving the audience what we needed, maybe not necessarily what we wanted." Her sister, Alina, described the experience as an "emotional roller-coaster." Another viewer, Diana Espinoza, told the BBC she "lost control of my tears!" but praised the finale as a bittersweet and emotional happy ending that viewers deserved.
Since its debut in 2016, created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things has become a cultural powerhouse, its success even extending to a major West End stage production.
This special edition stamp release marks a significant moment for both philately and popular culture, offering fans a permanent, mail-ready memento of the show's enduring legacy.
