ALSO Festival Unveils Extensive Lineup for Its 13th Annual Edition in Warwickshire
The ALSO Festival, one of the Midlands' most distinctive summer events, has announced hundreds of additional headline speakers and performers for its upcoming 13th edition. Set to take place at Compton Verney in Warwickshire, this unique ideas, music, comedy, and wellness festival promises to be bigger and more engaging than ever before.
A Rich Blend of Ideas and Entertainment
Now in its 13th year, ALSO has cultivated a devoted following across the Midlands and beyond by seamlessly integrating headline thinkers, live music, comedy, culinary experiences, and outdoor activities into a single summer weekend. This year's theme, Oh Fortuna!, delves into the intriguing concepts of luck, science, and the role of chance in shaping our lives.
Notable Speakers and Thought Leaders
Leading the speaker program is Wolverhampton-born bestselling author Sathnam Sanghera, who will present his new book about the life of George Michael on stage. Political historian Sir Anthony Seldon will deliver a live talk titled The Brexit Effect, while award-winning neuroscientist Catherine Loveday and broadcaster Claudia Hammond will explore The Psychology of The Traitors. Additionally, Stratford-upon-Avon's own BAFTA-winning animator Greg McLeod will offer a fascinating exploration of creativity and the life cycle of ideas.
Diverse Musical Performances
On the music front, ALSO26 welcomes PVA, one of the UK's most exciting electronic acts, alongside the African music and live electronics collective Afriquoi, who will headline Saturday night. Other musical highlights include:

Comedy and Wellness Offerings
Comedy highlights feature award-winner Esther Manito, joining Mark Thomas, Robin Ince, and Elf Lyons for a series of performances. Wellness activities include moonlight wild swimming, paddleboard yoga, and sound baths on the Capability Brown lake, providing attendees with relaxing and rejuvenating experiences.
Culinary Delights and Family Activities
Food remains a centerpiece of the festival, with Syrian chef Imad Alarnab hosting a special long table feast. Guest chefs such as River Cottage's James Whetlor will also participate. Midlands-based artisan food stalls include Water Buffalo Ice Cream from Napton, Red Banger with their fork-to-field ethos from Draycote, and Crafty Boys from Staffordshire offering artisan coffees and espresso martinis.
Warwickshire's own Playbox Theatre, a celebrated youth theatre company, will bring high-energy musical theatre workshops and evening storytelling to ALSO26, giving local families an opportunity to enjoy a homegrown favorite in a spectacular new setting.
