Birmingham Botanical Gardens, one of the city's finest attractions dating back to the 1820s, is set to host a unique 80s silent disco event this July. The Victorian garden, known for its glasshouses, rare plants, and beauty, will be transformed into a 1980s disco for one night only, offering an adults-only experience with banging tunes.
Event Details
The silent disco is part of the Silent Discos In Incredible Places tour and will take place on Saturday, July 18. DJs will be playing 80s hits across three channels, allowing attendees to dance to their favorite beats while possibly bopping to a different tune than their friends. The Botanical Gardens will be 'illuminated like you've never seen it before' for the occasion.
Starting at 7pm with a 10pm finish, the event caters to those who may not want to party until the early hours. Tickets are priced from £30.86 and are available for purchase.
Other Activities at the Gardens
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens has evolved to offer various experiences, including Garden Yoga on weekend mornings, soundbaths at sunset, and regular bandstand music. Seasonal artisan markets feature local makers, food, drink, and picnic opportunities. Later in the summer, outdoor cinema screenings and theatre productions are planned, followed by the return of the Luminate Light Trail in winter, a family favorite.
