Countryside Lincs Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Expanded Programme
The beloved family event Countryside Lincs is set to make a triumphant return to the Lincolnshire Showground this spring, marking its 10th edition with an action-packed day designed for all ages. Scheduled for Sunday, April 19, the event promises a rich array of interactive activities and live demonstrations that highlight Lincolnshire's farming heritage.
New and Returning Attractions for 2026
This year's event introduces a brand-new Polo Display, which will also feature at the Lincolnshire Show in June, allowing families to witness this fast-paced sport up close. Additionally, a high-energy BMX show is slated to thrill audiences, while the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) returns to showcase the therapeutic benefits of horse riding for people of all abilities.
Animal enthusiasts can look forward to meeting rare breed animals through the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST), with opportunities for hands-on experiences like pig walking with Junior Pig Clubs. Creative minds will enjoy workshops and craft sessions hosted by the EPIC and EXO Centres, and floral arts competitions by The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) will add a vibrant touch.
Educational Focus and Community Engagement
Organized by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS), a registered charity, Countryside Lincs aims to educate the community about food, farming, and the countryside. Rosie Crust, Head of Charity at the Lincolnshire Showground, emphasized the event's commitment to learning, stating, "We can't wait to welcome everyone to Countryside Lincs this April, which is set to be bigger and better than ever. The event is all about inspiring the next generation and celebrating the best of our county."
With dozens of indoor and outdoor activities, the event ensures fun regardless of weather, fostering a deeper understanding of agriculture's role in daily life.
