The 'festival of sacrifice' brought together people from across the Midlands. Attendees arrived early for prayers, leading to some chaotic parking with cars abandoned on pavements, driveways, and traffic islands.
Prayers and Festivities
Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre held Eid prayers from 9am. A spokesperson said: "Eid al-Adha commemorates the faith, sacrifice, and perseverance of Prophet Abraham and his family. The occasion reminds us of enduring values that remain deeply relevant today."
After prayers, families enjoyed picnics, fairground rides, and traditional food. The park was filled with laughter and community spirit.
