Nongshim, the South Korean food company known for its instant noodles, is bringing its popular Shin Ramyun brand to the Taste of London festival. The event, which takes place in Regent's Park from June 14 to 18, will feature a dedicated Nongshim booth where visitors can sample the spicy noodle soup.
Shin Ramyun's Global Appeal
Shin Ramyun, first introduced in 1986, has become one of the best-selling instant noodle brands worldwide. Known for its spicy beef broth, the noodles have gained a cult following among food enthusiasts. Nongshim's participation in Taste of London marks its first appearance at the festival, aiming to introduce the product to a broader audience.
What to Expect at the Booth
Attendees can enjoy free samples of Shin Ramyun prepared in various styles, including the classic soup and stir-fried versions. The company will also offer limited-edition merchandise and recipe ideas for incorporating the noodles into different dishes. Nongshim representatives will be on hand to discuss the brand's history and answer questions.
Growing Popularity of Korean Food
The move comes amid rising interest in Korean cuisine in the UK, driven by the popularity of K-pop and Korean dramas. Instant noodles, in particular, have seen increased sales as more people explore convenient yet flavorful meals. Nongshim hopes that its presence at Taste of London will capitalize on this trend and boost brand recognition.
