West Midlands Park to Be Transformed into Beach with Entertainment
Park to Become Beach with Entertainment

Sandwell Valley Country Park in West Bromwich is set to undergo a remarkable transformation this summer, turning into a seaside-style beach complete with entertainment for all ages. The event, organized by Sandwell Council, will run from July 29 to August 20, offering a unique staycation experience for local families.

What the Beach Will Offer

The park will feature 200 tonnes of sand, creating a beach area with deckchairs and parasols. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including donkey rides, a funfair, and live entertainment. There will also be a dedicated zone for under-5s with soft play and sand pits. Food and drink stalls will be available, offering seaside classics like fish and chips and ice cream.

Cost and Accessibility

Entry to the beach is free, but charges apply for some activities. The event is designed to be accessible, with disabled parking and facilities on site. Organizers expect high demand and advise early arrival to avoid queues. The beach will be open daily from 10am to 6pm.

We want to bring joy and a sense of holiday to our community, especially after the challenges of the past few years." The initiative aims to boost local tourism and provide affordable summer fun.
