A historic Shropshire landmark is preparing to welcome back a highly anticipated summer event this month. The popular Plant Hunters’ Fair will return to Whittington Castle, offering a vibrant celebration that is completely free to enter.
Event Details and Location
Green-fingered residents can explore the special event on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The fair will run from 10am until 4pm against the dramatic backdrop of the castle ruins near Oswestry.
Specialist Nurseries and Atmosphere
Organisers have confirmed that the event will bring together some of the best specialist nurseries in the region. Parking and Facilities
While entry to the fair and the beautiful castle grounds is completely free, normal on-site parking charges will apply. All the parking revenue goes directly to the charitable trust that maintains the historic castle and grounds for the community.
The castle tearooms will also be open throughout the day to serve light refreshments to visitors.
