The Pink Ribbon Foundation is launching its acclaimed Catwalk for a Cause event in Manchester for the very first time this month, merging sustainable fashion, fundraising, and glamour to support individuals impacted by breast cancer. Scheduled for Sunday, March 29, at Manchester Hall, this fabulous afternoon will spotlight a runway show styled by the sustainable fashion business Worn By Us, showcasing preloved items donated by celebrities, influencers, and the public.
A Star-Studded and Inspirational Runway
Adding to the excitement, this year's catwalk will be filmed for and featured on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, offering guests an exclusive glimpse of the stars in action while raising crucial funds. Celebrities from the show, including Rachel Lugo, Lauren Simon, and Lystra Adams, will walk alongside remarkable models who have been affected by breast cancer, such as male breast cancer survivor and content creator Phil Aldo.
Voices from the Foundation
Lisa Allen, Head of Corporate Partnerships, Events and PR at the Pink Ribbon Foundation, expressed enthusiasm: "We can’t wait to bring Catwalk for a Cause to Manchester. This inspiring sustainable fashion event will see incredible individuals who have been directly impacted by breast cancer walk the runway alongside cast members from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, who have generously donated their time and preloved clothes."
"As well as raising funds for breast cancer, the event will highlight real stories of strength, resilience, and hope, and we’re truly excited that it will be filmed as part of the show," she added.
Sustainable Fashion with a Purpose
The event emphasizes eco-conscious practices by focusing on preloved and upcycled fashion. Guests will have the opportunity to shop pieces from event partners Worn By Us and a curated selection of pre-loved designer items and upcycled garments from I am Here 2 Play, adorned with artwork by Piluca Camino Alcon. All clothing and accessories showcased on the catwalk will be available for purchase on the day, with proceeds directly benefiting the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
This sustainable approach not only generates funds for a vital cause but also helps reduce landfill waste and protect the environment, demonstrating that fashion can be a powerful force for good.
Additional Highlights and Ticket Information
Beyond the runway, attendees will enjoy a two-course sit-down meal, a charity raffle, a panel discussion on sustainable fashion, and a goody bag valued at over £120. Tickets for Catwalk for a Cause are priced at £60 and can be purchased through the Pink Ribbon Foundation website, offering a unique blend of entertainment, education, and philanthropy in support of breast cancer awareness and research.
