BBC star Claudia Winkleman has shared her favourite lunchtime haunt in Birmingham, giving fans a glimpse into her day filming in the city centre.

A 'Cheeky' Lunch Between Takes

The popular presenter, best known for hosting BBC's The Traitors, was in Birmingham on Thursday, 8 January. She was filming for the upcoming fourth series of the Channel 4 show The Piano, which sees amateur musicians perform in train stations.

While shooting scenes in the bustling New Street Station and Grand Central, Winkleman took a quick break for a bite to eat. She revealed to Birmingham Live that she opted for a classic fast-food favourite.

"Today I had a Nando's wrap," she said. When asked if it was the infamous 'Cheeky Nando's', she replied with her trademark dry wit: "Yeah, of course. Extra." She also mentioned plans to try noodles from the restaurant chain Pho the following day.

Birmingham's Unbeatable Charm

Winkleman didn't hold back her praise for the West Midlands city, making a bold claim about its main transport hub. "I love Birmingham. This is genuinely the best station I have ever been in, in my life," she stated.

This is significant praise, given that for the show she will also be visiting and filming at London St Pancras, Leeds, and Glasgow Central stations. For Claudia, however, Birmingham's combination of shops and restaurants seems to set it apart.

The feeling was mutual, as members of the public warmly engaged with the TV personality. She was seen posing for photos, chatting to fans, and even cooing and holding hands with babies in the audience.

Filming and Future Plans

Winkleman was joined by fellow judge MIKA for the Birmingham leg of filming. It is understood that the third judge, Grammy winner Jon Batiste, will return for the series but was not present in the city that day.

Beyond her lunch plans, the star revealed an unusual shopping intention. "I'm also going to go to Holland and Barrett soon. I don't know what I'll get - maybe a January vitamin," she quipped.

The new series of The Piano, which usually airs in the spring, will follow the same format. Claudia and the judges will discover hidden piano talent in busy stations, with last year's winner and finalists each receiving a piano.
