Love Island All Stars Delayed: Wildfires Force ITV Schedule Shake-Up
Love Island All Stars postponed due to South Africa wildfires

ITV has been forced to pull the highly anticipated launch of Love Island: All Stars from its broadcast schedule after dangerous wildfires in South Africa disrupted filming.

Production Evacuated Amid Safety Concerns

The third series of the reality TV hit, which was due to feature returning favourites like series seven winner Millie Court and series five's Belle Hasan, has been officially postponed. The decision follows an ongoing major incident involving wildfires in the Western Cape region of South Africa, where the show is filmed.

In a statement released on January 10, ITV confirmed the delay, citing a production evacuation from the location. "Our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed," the broadcaster said. "Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed."

ITV Makes Last-Minute Schedule Change

As a direct result of the postponement, tonight's television schedule (January 12) has undergone a significant change. Instead of the planned launch episode, ITV2 will now air a repeat of the Love Island: A Decade of Love anniversary special at 9pm.

The replacement programme, which first aired in June 2025, will run until 10.35pm. ITV has not yet provided any further updates on when the new All Stars series might begin, leaving fans in suspense.

Fans React to Disappointing News

Viewers who had been eagerly counting down to the show's return have expressed their disappointment on social media. One fan wrote on Instagram: "Gutted it’s not starting on Monday been counting down the days like this gets me through the January blues. Hope [it's] back on screens soon xx."

Another echoed the sentiment, stating: "Omg been counting down the days and now it’s postponed due to the wildfires." The wildfires in South Africa have been raging for several weeks, with local reports indicating damage to property and infrastructure, widespread evacuations, and disruptions to essential services like energy and water.
