Scott Mills is poised to return to television screens despite his recent termination from BBC Radio 2, with Channel 4 confirming his appearance in upcoming programming.
Channel 4 Stands Firm on Scheduled Appearances
The broadcaster has maintained its commitment to air Mills in both the Stand Up To Cancer special and the celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off, episodes that were recorded during the previous summer. These appearances will proceed as originally planned despite the controversy surrounding the radio host.
The 53-year-old presenter was dismissed from his Radio 2 Breakfast Show position following allegations concerning his personal conduct. However, Channel 4's programming schedule remains unaffected by these developments.
Celebrity Bake Off Episode Details
Mills will feature in the Channel 4 episode hosted by Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond, where he will demonstrate his baking abilities alongside three other well-known personalities. Following confirmation of his participation in the new series, which also includes Love Island alum Molly Mae Hague, Mills expressed his enthusiasm.

Background of BBC Termination
The Mirror has reported that Mills' dismissal from BBC Radio 2 relates to a police investigation initiated in 2016 concerning alleged serious sexual offences against a teenage boy. The investigation was subsequently discontinued in May 2019 after the Crown Prosecution Service determined that the evidential threshold for bringing charges had not been met.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson provided details: "In December 2016, the Met began an investigation following a referral from another police force. The investigation related to allegations of serious sexual offences against a teenage boy reported to have taken place between 1997 and 2000."
"A man who was in his 40s at the time of the interview was questioned by police under caution in July 2018. A full file of evidence was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service, who determined the evidential threshold had not been met to bring charges. Following this advice, the investigation was closed in May 2019."
Despite these circumstances, Channel 4 continues to support Mills' television appearances in their scheduled programming, marking his return to broadcast media following his BBC departure.
