John McGinn's 'BraveArse' Inspires Scotland World Cup Merch

Aston Villa star John McGinn's cheeky nickname has inspired a range of Scotland World Cup 2026 merchandise, which a businessman claims is flying off the shelves. Kevin Beresford, 74, from Redditch, Worcestershire, is selling metal prints, drinks coasters, and mugs featuring the midfielder, as well as Susan Boyle, after being inspired by Irn Bru's World Cup anthem.

Unique Memorabilia for the Tartan Army

Kevin, known as Britain's dullest man, wanted to commemorate Scotland's qualification for the tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. He created the bizarre range dedicated to McGinn's 'brilliant behind' and the comical 'Made from Girders' advert featuring the player alongside SuBo.

Kevin said: 'You see the same merchandise every year and I wanted to do something different because it's not very often Scotland are at a World Cup. I like to see all the home nations do well. First and foremost I am an Aston Villa fan and he is a talismanic figure for us as well as for his country.'

The 'BraveArse' Nickname

McGinn is known among fans as 'BraveArse' for using his backside to hold off and spin players. Kevin added: 'He utilises his brilliant behind with amazing success. He almost goes horizontal in a crouching position and just sticks out this dynamic derrière, worthy of a Greek God. He is really down to earth as well as his bum being the nearest thing to earth.'

McGinn has previously acknowledged his posterior's role in his career, saying: 'If I didn't have my backside, I'd probably be at Yeovil. I don't think anyone has a backside the size of me.'

Pricing and Availability

An 8ins x 10ins metal print is priced at £18.99, while coasters and mugs are £8.99 each. Kevin added: 'Instead of flags, I wanted to commemorate the occasion in a unique way. I think they can get out of their group.'

Kevin's Scotland merchandise is available at dullkev.com.
