Billie Eilish Reveals Cinema Etiquette for Concert Film: Fans Should Sing and Scream
Billie Eilish Wants Fans to Sing and Scream at Concert Film

Billie Eilish has explained exactly how she wants her fans to watch her concert film 'Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D)' in cinemas. The singer teamed up with legendary filmmaker James Cameron to create an immersive 3D experience of her recent tour, which will be released in theaters worldwide on May 8, 2026.

New Cameras Invented for the Film

To ensure the 3D experience matched and even exceeded being at the concert in real life, James Cameron and his team invented two new cameras specifically for the movie. With expert videography and Billie's electric performance, the question arises: how can fans sit still in the cinema and enjoy it? Trick question: they don't have to.

Billie's Request to Fans

Speaking to Capital at the London premiere of the film, Billie said she wants fans singing, screaming, and not sitting still in movie theaters this May. 'I want literally the opposite of what you might think,' she stated. 'I want singing along, I want screaming, I want standing up, I want running around. I'm sorry to the theaters.'

She explained that she was excited to see fans react that way because she has witnessed it before. 'In the past, when I put my album out, I had the music play in theaters - just the music - and my favorite part was seeing videos of fans going to the front area of the theater and moshing, jumping around, and running around,' she said.

Billie concluded: 'So no sitting still. I mean, you can... but don't worry if you don't. Don't feel bad, that's good, we approve.'
