Marks & Spencer's new Ultra Peptide Serum, part of the Formula range, has attracted rapid interest from beauty shoppers, with customers reporting that it leaves skin looking 'clear and glowing'. The 30ml product is priced at £29 and currently available on the M&S website.
Clinically proven hydration and collagen support
The Ultra Peptide Serum promotes 'visible improvements across seven major skincare concerns' and is clinically proven to deliver 24-hour hydration. The advanced peptides in the formula support collagen stimulation, according to the product description.
The serum is powered by an advanced complex of peptides, ceramides, omega 3, six fatty acids and an NAD+ booster. The formula is said to 'improve overall skin appearance from first use'. The product claims to deliver 'visible benefits across firmness and elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles, texture, skin tone, radiance, hydration and pores'.
Emma Willis endorsement and customer feedback
Birmingham-born TV presenter Emma Willis is the face of the Formula range. She said: 'What I love about this range is that it doesn't overcomplicate skincare. We've all heard the buzzwords, but most people just want to know what something does and whether it works.'
The serum currently holds a 4.6-star rating on the Marks & Spencer website. One shopper said: 'I bought this product following a great review in a Sunday paper. I have been using it for a week. I like the way it feels smooth on my skin. Hope it is doing me good!'
Sumia posted: 'I liked the formula itself. Easy to apply and quickly absorbed. The package is nice and practical. I haven't had any breakouts since I started using the serum. So far so good for me but looks promising in the long term.'
Alina commented: 'Very effective and super good absorbing serum from the brand I never tried before. Very easy to dispense, perfect texture. Recommend it so much.'
Daisy penned: 'Lovely packaging and nice ingredients for sensitive skin! Really easy to dispense for an easy and pleasant application! Sinks into the skin well and is lightweight! Makes my skin so soft!'
Roxanne wrote: 'So initially I really liked this serum, it was leaving my skin super smooth, lovely under my make up and felt luxurious, But the fragrance in this a let down for my sensitive skin, unfortunately I started to notice my face feeling irritated and some red blotches which usually happens when I use fragranced skincare. Please stop overly scenting good skincare.'
Comparison with other peptide serums
For comparison, Medik8's Liquid Peptides Advanced MP 30ml costs £82 and is said to be 'clinically proven to diminish the appearance of expression lines in 10 minutes and deep-set wrinkles in eight weeks'. Sephora sells the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum 30ml for £19.99, which uses a five-peptide complex with niacinamide to target 'fine lines and brightening simultaneously'.
Emma Willis added: 'This is the only skincare product I've ever used where someone has commented on my skin while I've been using it. My friend said that my skin looked clear and glowing, and the only thing I'd changed was adding this serum to my routine. So I'm pretty pleased with it!'
'It's a really nice serum to use: lightweight, not sticky, smells lovely (sort of tropical ish but not overwhelming), absorbs quickly. I will definitely be repurchasing as it agrees with my skin and leaves it feeling (and looking) so nice.'
