Peter Kay Show Rescheduled After Bomb Hoax Evacuation

A major update has been issued for Peter Kay's cancelled Birmingham show after an alleged bomb hoax forced the evacuation of thousands of fans from Utilita Arena.

The performance on Friday, May 1, was halted just 45 minutes in, with the comedian escorted off stage as a precautionary measure. Omar Majed, 19, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Monday, May 4, charged with communicating false information to police under the Criminal Law Act. He is due back in court in June.

The show was part of Kay's Better Late Than Never national tour, with all proceeds going to 12 cancer charities. Kay also performed at Utilita Arena on Saturday night as scheduled.
