Ted Baker has made a comeback on the UK high street with the opening of a new boutique shop-in-shop at Selfridges Manchester Trafford. Located in the Women's department on the Upper Level, the space introduces an elevated, experience-led concept that goes beyond traditional retail.
Experience-Led Concept
Rather than a conventional shop floor, the boutique has been crafted to resemble the walk-in wardrobe of the "ultimate Ted woman." Each section reflects moments from a summer social calendar. This comes after the huge UK retailer, which has Birmingham branches, collapsed and disappeared earlier this year.
Drawing inspiration from the brand's "Bringing the Light" campaign, the space evolves throughout the day, capturing the transition from soft morning light to golden-hour glamour.
Curated Collection
The shop-in-shop features a curated edit of ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle items, with a focus on summer occasion dressing. The collection blends hand-painted florals that appear to bloom across the fabric with hand-sketched park toile prints that root the aesthetic in British heritage.
Silhouettes move from dresses designed to catch the light to '90s-inspired skinny-bow minis and liquid-gold satin tailoring, while signature textures such as gold chainmail knits and versatile reversible styles reflect a wardrobe that is both refined and ready for every invitation.
