Selfridges, with its designer labels and sophisticated shopping, is no stranger to a visit from the occasional supercar driver. But this weekend no fewer than 40 of them will be taking over a section of the multi-storey car park for a special car meet.
The special event is taking place on Sunday, June 14, and while it is totally sold-out, with enthusiasts snapping up the 220 event tickets fast, passers-by will be able to see the cars filing in and out of the multi-storey Moor Street car park.
What to Expect at the Supercar Meet
Duke of London, a supercar hub in the capital, hosts regular events, though this will be its first in the Midlands. Forty supercar owners from the region will head into town, with several Jaguars and show cars expected.
The car park will be serving cakes, coffee, and drinks from 10am until 2pm, and classic cars and motorbikes are expected alongside the supercars.
Safety Advice for Visitors
If you want to pop along and see them, it is really important that you take extra care as the roads around the Bullring can be very busy on a weekend, even without supercars on them. The motors will be pulling in to the second level, opposite Selfridges, ready for that 10am start.
It is really important if you are going that you stay on the pavement, watch out for buses, and do not block any paths or passageways that shoppers will want to use. Selfridges opens at 11am on Sundays if you are heading into the shopping centre afterwards.
About Duke of London
Duke of London was a car dealership and warehouse founded by Merlin McCormack in 2014. In recent years it has grown into a social space for car enthusiasts, with showrooms, event spaces, a coffee shop, listening bar, and co-working space. This will be the first meet in the Midlands.
