A new 'mega Greggs' has opened in Birmingham city centre, drawing large crowds over its opening weekend. The branch, located at Unit 11 of New Street Station, replaced a smaller unit and now occupies the former Boots shop space.
New Location and Jobs
The new Greggs opened on Saturday, April 25, creating three new jobs. Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, expressed excitement about welcoming customers to the improved shop, stating, 'We look forward to providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.'
Opening Hours and Menu
The 'mega Greggs' operates from 4am to 2am Monday to Friday, 4am to 11:30pm on Saturday, and 8am to 2am on Sunday. It offers all classic Greggs items, including sausage rolls, steak bakes, and Yum Yums. The popular £5 meal deal, which includes a drink, a side, and a main, is also available.
Other New Street Food Developments
Greggs is not the only new food outlet at New Street Station. American chains Popeyes and Taco Bell have also opened recently, with Taco Bell set to open its first city centre location soon.
