A popular mini golf attraction in Birmingham city centre has closed its doors after eight years, with the possibility that it may not reopen. Mr Mulligans, located on Broadway Plaza, has been entertaining families since December 2019 with three space-themed nine-hole crazy golf courses.
Closure announcement
The venue, which occupies a significant unit opposite the Odeon Luxe cinema, announced its closure following what it described as a 'sustained period of review'. In a statement on social media, the chain said: 'Following a sustained period of review, Mulligans Birmingham has closed its doors whilst we consider closing on a permanent basis.'
Thanks to customers
The management expressed gratitude to patrons, adding: 'We would like to sincerely thank all of our customers for their support and loyalty during our time in Birmingham. Our focus over the coming weeks will be supporting our team members and communicating directly with customers regarding any relevant updates to bookings or operations.'
Alternative venues
Customers with existing bookings are advised to contact the venue via email at info.birmingham@mrmulligan.com. For those seeking alternative mini golf experiences, Tree Top Golf on the middle floor of the Bullring offers two indoor 18-hole courses. Golf Fang in Digbeth provides an 18-hole course for adults aged 18 and over. Other entertainment options in the Broadway Plaza area include Boom Battle Bar on Broad Street, cinemas such as Odeon Luxe and Cineworld, and Hollywood Bowl.
