Escape Hunt, the immersive entertainment venue that closed when Priory Square shopping centre shut down in 2025, is set to reopen in a new Birmingham city centre location. The global brand will launch at 36-38 Cannon Street at the end of July, offering four escape rooms and three outdoor City Hunt experiences.
New Venue Details
The venue will feature four indoor escape rooms: Aladdin and the Magic Vault, where players capture a mystical lamp; Curse of the Pharaoh, with ancient secrets to uncover; Alice in Puzzleland, racing to save the Mad Hatter; and a fourth unnamed room. Outdoor options include Vampire Hunters, Time Cops, and Return to Wonderland. Prices start from £21 per person, with children under eight free for outdoor games. The venue is suitable for ages eight and above.
Background and Impact
Escape Hunt originally closed in 2025 when Priory Square shopping centre shut down suddenly, displacing multiple businesses including vendors from The Oasis Market. The new Cannon Street venue aims to revive the attraction, offering bookings for birthdays, hen and stag parties, Christmas events, and corporate functions. Full venue hire is available.
Recent Closures and Context
Last week, another city centre attraction, Mulligans mini golf at Broadway Plaza near Odeon Luxe cinema, closed after eight years. Escape Hunt's reopening provides a fresh entertainment option in Birmingham. The address is 36-38 Cannon Street, Birmingham, B2 5EE. Bookings are now open.
