Lenny Henry Discusses New Tour on Saturday Kitchen
During his appearance, Lenny spoke about his upcoming tour, titled Still At Large. He explained to host Matt Tebbutt: "It's about when I was 16 and 17 and I was at school, there was quite a lot dodgy stuff going on. I was bullied at school for quite a long time, and there was a lot of sexism and all that kind of stuff, homophobia. And it is sort of talking about how some of these things are still at large and still in play."
He added: "But the show isn't just about that. It's about family and friends, and it's about love. And it's about where I am now in the world post the knighthood, post being the face of Premier Inn."
Lenny also revealed that the performances would include a question-and-answer segment, allowing audience members to ask anything, a move he acknowledged as "risky." He noted: "I haven't done a tour for 15 years. It has been fun writing it. It has been fun putting it together. And it's going to be a vibe, I think."
