Birmingham City midfield targets beyond Jhon Solis transfer
Blues midfield targets after Solis transfer

Birmingham City have exercised their option to sign Jhon Solis permanently from Girona, but the club still requires at least one more midfielder to complete their engine room for the upcoming season. Solis, who joined on loan in January, made a significant impact and is exactly the type of player Chris Davies needed. The 21-year-old Colombian is expected to be part of the squad next season.

Ethan Galbraith

Galbraith, 25, impressed for Swansea City last season, making 39 appearances as the Swans finished 11th in the Championship. The Northern Ireland international may lack Solis's physical stature but could form a useful partnership. He is capable of breaking up play and possesses strong technical ability. Galbraith has been linked with Wrexham and West Ham, and his future at Swansea appears uncertain.

Toby Collyer

Collyer struggled with form and fitness in the Championship last season but has fantastic potential. The 22-year-old, formerly of Manchester United, had disappointing loan spells at West Brom and Hull City due to injuries. He has the physical attributes to be effective in the Championship and composure on the ball, suiting Chris Davies's possession-based system. A move back to Hull is possible, but Championship game time could help him regain form.

Mate Tuboly

Tuboly, a 21-year-old Hungarian midfielder, plays for FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda in the Slovakian top flight. He has attracted English interest with his height, physicality, and ability to break up play, similar to Solis. With a passing accuracy of 83 percent last season, he fits Davies's style. Watford and Swansea are reportedly interested in the Hungary Under-21 captain.
